Scorecarding is the process of taking the operational and financial plans and translating these into goals, objectives and targets that are owned at an individual level throughout the organisation. Unexpected performance, whether positive or detrimental, is highlighted and analysed to understand its impact on the business and to identify any underlying assumptions used in planning and budgeting that are not correct.
